Karina
Lucas - Mezzo
Karina Lucas is from
London and is of Spanish and English parentage. She is currently a student at
the National Opera Studio and before that at the Royal Northern College of Music
where she graduated with a First Class Degree. Karina's
operatic experience includes the roles of Dorabella for both Grange Park Opera
and the Ryedale festival; Baba the Turk (RNCM); Leila in Iolanthe (Grange Park
Opera); Orlofsky (Clonter Opera education projects); Pauline (RNCM); Annina (Pimlico
Opera); Sextus in Julius Caesar (Yorke Trust); Meg Page (RNCM); Olga (Opera 74)
and Cinderella's Mother/Granny/Giant
in Sondheim's Into the Woods
(RNCM). She was also a member of Glyndebourne Festival Chorus in 2002. Karina
also appears regularly on the concert platform. Performances include Mendelssohn's
Elijah, Rossini's Petite Messe

Berkeley's Four Poems by St.
Teresa of Avila for Lake District Summer Music, Rachmaninov's
