Clarinet Master Class

Emma has given master classes all over the world and was   a visiting Professor at the Royal College of Music.

This morning 6 gifted and talented local young people will join Emma in performing with an orchestra.

'The Best of British'

A concert of lighter works by German combined with classics by other great names in British light music, including, Sullivan, Elgar, Coates and Haydn Wood. To perform them we are delighted to welcome the National Festival Orchestra back to Whitchurch for the second time

The National Festival Orchestra has a brilliant reputation    as one of the Country's leading theatre and concert orchestras. Each year the theatre orchestra, which appears tonight, provides the resident orchestra for The Buxton International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, and we are delighted to welcome them back to Whitchurch for the second time. Highlights for the NFO include appearances at the London Palladium, the Royal Albert Hall and on BBC Radio. With David Russell Hulme they recently recorded German’s ‘Tom Jones’, featuring an international cast, on the Naxos label.
